How to Set Background Image For A Folder In Windows Xp !

I already gave the tutorial on how to set the back ground image for your pendrive (Check the related posts).  Hear is the cool tutorial for setting the background image for any folder in the Windows Xp.  They are many softwares to do this but no softwares are required now.  It is a simple trick just follow the setps.
Steps to set background image for a folder in Win xp:
  1. Choose the folder for which you are going to set the background image
  2. suppose the folder name is strgraphics.
  3. Now open a notepad file and paste the following code in that

    [ExtShellFolderViews]
    [{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}]
    Attributes=1
    IconArea_Image=image.bmp
    IconArea_Text=0xFFFFFF
    [.ShellClassInfo]
    ConfirmFileOp=0

  4. Now save this notepad file as bgimage.ini
  5. Hear i kept the background image as image.bmp
  6. Finally open folder strgraphics and put the bgimage.ini and image.bmp files in that folder
  7. Just close the folder and open againstr bgimagetofolder
  8. You done finally
About the code :
  • Find the line ” IconArea_Image=image.bmp ”
  • Replace the image.bmp by your own image.
  • ” IconArea_Text=0xFFFFFF “  In this line 0xFFFFFF for the icons text color.  You can change the color of the icons text as your wish.
  • Finally make sure that Notepad file and image file should be in the folder.
  • For the changes to take effect one should close the folder and open again every time that you change the code
